phpPennyAuction v2.5 is finally here

After months of beta testing, Scriptmatix Ltd today releases it’s latest major upgrade to the phpPennyAuction software – version number v2.5.

…You can now literally drop-in any plugin and install in seconds…

Amongst other things, this update was the start of our shift towards better drop-in plugin management, through a massively overhauled Add-Ons system. You can now literally install any plugin within a few seconds, right out of the box. And we’ve added new Plugins to go with it, including:

phpPennyAuction 2.5 Beta

We’re part of the FSB

Being part of the FSB means we are now part of the UK’s largest lobbying group which advises and protects the rights of small businesses. Find out more at the FSB website.

The FSB wants government funded provision to support and improve business operations using the Information, Diagnostic & Brokerage (IDB) model. The brokerage should suggest the services that will support the needs of the business. This must include private sector provision.

The government should only fund the provision when:

It is a government policy, for example raising the basic skills level in the workforce

There is a problem with the ability to pay – e.g. small businesses accessing expensive training and accreditation. We stand by the maxim one business’ grant is another business’ tax

Scriptmatix secures injunction against illegal seller.

It is with immense pleasure that Scriptmatix Ltd are pleased to announce that on Friday 5th November 2010, we successfully secured an injunction against an individual who was illegally trading in our software. With immediate effect, Scriptmatix Ltd have taken over http://www.phppennyauction.info and blocked the individual involved, Mr Hardeep Grewal of Kolkata, India, from selling, trading or giving away our software at any point in the future. This outcome was possible in part due to the co-operation of the Indian authorities, and underlines our quest in pursing both those overseas and closer to home. All software developed and sold by Scriptmatix Ltd, is subject to international copyright laws and treaties, and we will not hesitate to pursue any individual(s) involved with the illegal resale of our intellectual property (IP) through the courts. Scriptmatix Ltd also were awarded significant damages.

Scriptmatix Ltd do not have any resellers. The only way to purchase any of our software is through one of our websites. If you have purchased our software from another source, please contact us in confidence and we will investigate.

We’re back with a new server

Those of you who are closely following our Twitter know that we have recently undergone a server change. We went from Dreamhost to VPS.net and the results are already pretty impressive.
